Established over 30 years ago Rap's Restaurant was one of the first West Indian establishments on Eglinton West. Over the years the name Rap's Restaurant has become synonymous with authentic Jamaican cuisine. The restaurant prepares a traditional Jamaican fare including it's sumptuous Oxtail, Curry Goat and Stew Chicken dishes which are some of the more everyday popular items. Rare but equally tasty dishes such as cow foot and stew beef are also offered on certain days of the week; the absolutely delicious Saltfish, King Fish or Snapper meals are also on order for those who may want more of vegetarian fare.
Rap's Restaurant is known as the place to get the BEST Jerk Chicken in the City of Toronto. Rap's Jerk Chicken is seasoned and then smoked to perfection in a traditional jerk pan in front of the Restaurant. The regular weekend line-ups are testament to the authentic flavour-filled goodness of Rap's Jerk Chicken! Some customers who no longer live in the city make an annual pilgrimage to Rap's at least once a year usually during the city's annual Caribbean Carnival. There's one thing for certain a meal at Rap's is a delectable gastronomic adventure to Jamaica's beautiful shores.
